The Mooresville, Indiana Family Aquatic Center is where people go to swim and sun seven days a week over those fabulous, hot Indiana summer weeks. The enormous pool is decorated by an equally enormous water slide that twists its way up into the heavens. It is, in fact a haven for swimmers and anybody who wants to stay cool from May through September.
Sometimes referred to as the Mooresville Pioneer Park Aquatic Center, the community pool is a fun meeting place inside the 130-acre Pioneer Park in Mooresville, a veritable Mooresville attraction in its own right. One of the unique characteristics of this Aquatic Center is the small children’s pool topped by an ever-flowing yellow mushroom fountain.
Mooresville’s Family Aquatic Center is friendly not only to Mooresville families, including all those over-active Mooresville children, but also to their fuzzy, four-footed pals. The Aquatic Center’s “Pooch Plunge” is given over to nicely-behaved dogs who must be accompanied by their humans. The dogs get to swim during a time specifically set aside for canine swimmers only, no humans allowed.
The Aquatic Center in Mooresville’s Pioneer Park offers some good rates for memberships you can tailor to your family’s needs. Lots of Southside Indianapolis residents go to the Aquatic Center too; it’s one of the most popular things to do in Mooresville on a hot-hot summer day.
