Downtown Mooresville: Something Old, Something New
Mooresville’s downtown sector can be seen as something of a conundrum. On the one hand, interesting flashes of history are part of the town’s character, but on the other hand, Mooresville, Indiana appears to be a modern Midwest city, small town that it is. Visitors do come to the charming town, from nearby Indianapolis and many other nearby communities. The Mooresville Revitalization Group, Inc. produces numerous ongoing activities and special events in Mooresville, such as the Community Street Fair, the local Mardi Gras celebration and the Mooresville Roots and Rhythm Fest. The Mooresville Revitalization Group is also responsible for securing a spot on the National Register of Historic Places for the downtown Commercial District in Mooresville.
